PORTSMOUTH man Mark Gibson will do a sponsored marathon tomorrow in a bid to raise money to restore St Cuthbert’s Church, Copnor.

He will run from Portsmouth Cathedral to Baffins Pond, where other congregation members, aged up to 93, will be walking sponsored laps around the pond.

Funds raised will go towards the £100,000 needed to fix the church’s floor and electrics to allow services to run from the building after a 10-year break.
