IT’S a charity that is close to his heart so Daniel Bricknell was eager to organise a fundraiser for them.

Daniel, owner of The Good Intent Pub, on Trinity Street, Fareham, is holding a music event to raise money for Portsmouth Sands.

The charity, which helps families deal with stillborns or neonatal deaths, helped Daniel when his baby died after being 13 days overdue.

Daniel, 31, said: ‘The charity really helped me through what was a difficult time.

‘I wanted to hold a fundraiser to give something back to them.’

The event is on Sunday and will feature local bands but Daniel is in need of a marque in case it rains.

He added: ‘If anyone could donate a marquee, that would be great.’

The event is from midday till 8pm. He aims to raise £2,000.
