A CHARITY football game kicked off in style.

The Football for Cancer charity day at Fleetlands, in Gosport, was kicked off by the town’s Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate Caroline Dinenage.

Football for Cancer helps raise money for cancer charities by hosting football events.

The Gosport teams were named after Alistair ‘Kiwi’ Walker and Ray Martin.

Ms Dinenage was invited to kick off the match which won by the Alistair Kiwi team.

She said: ‘It was great to deliver the first kick. This is a fantastic organisation which raises a lot of money for cancer charities in our area.’
