ROBOT submarines will be on show at Gosport’s Royal Navy Submarine Museum this week.

Children are being given the chance to meet divers and marine archaeologists at the museum on Thursday.

And experts from Saab Seaeye will demonstrate their remotely operated vehicles which scan the sea bed for anything from oil to mines.

Families who take part in the Deep Sea Detectives event will be given the rare chance to take control of one of the robots.

There will be quizzes and other activities.

Entry to the event, which takes place between 11am and 3pm, is free with a museum ticket.
