A GREEN MEP has thrown his weight behind a campaign to get more buses to the western wards of Fareham.

During his recent visit to the area, Keith Taylor MEP formally signed campaign group Western Wards People’s Voice’s petition for a better public transport network in Fareham.

Group co-founder and Warsash Green Party candidate, Miles Grindey, said: ‘I’m pleased to see politicians finally taking this issue seriously,

‘Keith has shown that he has common sense by signing the petition.

‘This will surely send shock waves across Fareham.’

As reported, the Western Wards People’s Voice is calling on Hampshire County Council to spend more money on bus links to Whiteley and to reinstate a service to Fareham Community Hospital.

Mr Taylor said: ‘Signing this petition shows that the Green Party cares about local issues as well as national issues.’

The Western Wards People’s Voice holds regular meetings at The Rising Sun in Warsash.
