CAR enthusiasts will be in their element as a family fundraising event returns for another year.

Benz on the Green 2017 takes place on Saturday and promises to be a great day out for all the family.

A convoy of Mercedes vehicles will depart from the Prestige Car Service workshop in Horndean late morning, taking in an hour of countryside before arriving at The George Inn pub in Finchdean.

The pub will host an array of family activities, including a bouncy castle, face painting, a sweet shop, charity raffle and auction, as well as tuners, traders, and some special cars on display. It is free to enter, with a £5 entry fee for cars in the convoy. A prize will be awarded to the best car in show.

Organiser Oliver Stoner said: ‘It’s a good fun day out for all the family. If you are into cars then it’s brilliant.

‘Some of this year’s raffle prizes are really special too.’

Over the past two years, the event has raised over £5,000 for BEN, the UK’s only motor industry charity.

Oliver said they were hoping to beat this total. To donate an auction lot or raffle prize call (023) 9257 0123 or email info@prestigecarservice.co.uk. For more information go to benzonthegreen.co.uk/register
