PEOPLE with money worries can now turn to a new advice service.

DebtAdvice@Buckland is a free debt counselling and support service staffed by trained volunteers.

The service is based at Buckland United Reformed Church in Kingston Road.

Founder and honorary manager Cliff Bembridge said it aimed to help people find ways of getting debt-free.

Volunteer counsellor Jim McGregor said: ‘Not only does unmanageable debt have an impact on quality of life, but it can even lead to serious ill health and even suicide.

‘Our role is to try and help people to come up with an agreed, workable solution out of this.’

Call the service on 07723 397237 or e-mail manager@business-at-buckland.org.uk.
