AROUND 40 people will be walking from Gosport to Southsea in fancy dress to raise money for charity.

Sharon Baines, of Merganser Close, Gosport, has organised the walk in memory of her son stillborn son Tyreese, who would have turned 10 this year.

Sharon, 29, said: ‘I’m turning 30 and thought I should do something to remember both events. I’ll be dressing up as a Smurf and I’m encouraging people to join in and donate.’

Walkers will go through Fareham, Portchester and then down to Southsea, before getting a ferry back to Gosport.

The walk is on Saturday, March 26, and money will be donated to Sands – a charity which helps people who have lost a baby.
