HUNDREDS of friends paid tribute to a young powerboat champion killed in a crash.

As reported, Dean Paling, 23, died on Southwick Road, near Boarhunt, alongside friend Tom Emery, 24, on December 2.

About 100 cars, many of which were modified, followed Mr Paling’s coffin, which was on the back of a flat-bed truck in a convoy from Hedge End Business Park to the funeral.

As reported, dozens of friends had gathered at the crash site to lay flowers after the crash.
