Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage is encouraging local musicians and film-makers to enter parliament’s two largest creative competitions, Rock the House and Film the House.

The competition offers the opportunity to put bands and film-makers in direct contact with the movers and shakers of the two industries.

Prizes range from festival slots, studio time and top-notch equipment, and the Rock the House and Film the House competitions are an opportunity to showcase what the south coast has to offer.

Ms Dinenage said: ‘This is an excellent opportunity for the Gosport area to celebrate our local talent and, as all nominations are judged by industry experts, there is no finer chance for our musicians and film-makers to gain exposure.’

The closing date for under-19 entries is Thursday and the over-19s closing date is May 1.
