THE first multicultural festival in a town is due to be held.

The day-long event will be taking place at Walpole Park, Gosport on Saturday, June 7.

Gosport Go Diversity festival has been organised by the Fareham and Gosport Multicultural Society.

The day will offer a range of entertainment from different cultures. Gates open at 10am and Councillor Wayne Ronanye, who will then be mayor of Gosport, will open the festival at 11am.

It will run until 5pm. Entry is free.
