ORGANISERS behind an event raising awareness about asthma have said thank you after receiving dozens of donations.

As reported yesterday, Sarah Sparshott, 41, of Elson Lane, Gosport, is holding the event after her 12-year-old daughter Holly died after suffering an asthma attack.

The Christmas party is being held at Thorngate Halls, in Bury Road, tomorrow from 7pm to midnight.

There will be live music and Father Christmas.

Sarah’s friend Tammy Kent, who runs the annual Forton Fest, has received donations of tents, cash and many other gifts.

And X Factor’s Tom Mann has signed a T-shirt and donated it.

As reported, Holly died at Naomi House on October 24 after collapsing into a coma on September 25. Some of the cash will go to the hospice.
