A MUSIC extravaganza is being held to raise money for two charities.
People are being encouraged to buy tickets to a musical afternoon which will be raising money for The Rowans Hospice and the Accommodation Resource Centre.
They were picked by mayor of Gosport Councillor Keith Gill as his charities of the year.
The show, on March 29, will have a range of music from Gosport Solent Brass to the Meoncross School choir.
Councillor Gill said: ‘I believe we are in for a great show with an incredible range of music to entertain everyone.
‘Gosport Solent Brass have an incredible repertoire, and cater for all tastes in music, and who doesn’t enjoy listening to the sound of children singing in harmony, something Meoncross do to perfection?
‘But it’s not just the music to enjoy as Jennifer Parker-Lummis is not only a classically trained soprano and graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, but she has prolific performance experience.’
Doors for the event, at the Thorngate Halls in Bury Road, open at 1.30pm. Tickets are £10 for an adult, £5 for a child or £25 for a family ticket. Tickets are available at the Town Hall or the Thorngate Halls.
