ORGANISERS of a music and fashion festival have revealed it will not go ahead this year.

More than 45,000 people went to Vintage at Goodwood, near Chichester, in the summer.

But founders Lord March and Wayne, pictured, and Geraldine Hemingway have confirmed they would not be co-organising the event in 2011.

They said the introduction of Vintage put a great deal of pressure on the business and planning process at Goodwood, due to its busy summer calendar.

The Hemingways, who live near Chichester, are now planning to take the Vintage concept on tour instead.

A Facebook group called Keep Vintage at Goodwood has been set up and has already attracted more than 200 supporters.

The event in August featured performances from The Faces fronted by Mick Hucknall and won Best New Festival at the UK Festival Awards in November.
