My dream is to have our own base to teach gymnastics

GYMNASTICS is such a great way of learning so many different life skills.

Our school caters for gymnasts, both girls and boys, from the age of three and above all the way through to professional competitive level.

We run various groups across Fareham and Portchester and have over 300 members. We are largely volunteer-led apart from a handful of professional coaches.

It teaches you to be disciplined and to work hard. The children that come to our groups also enjoy the social aspects as they get to make so many new friends.

It improves your strength and flexibility and the skills you learn can be taken forward into the rest of your life. That’s why I believe it’s important to get more people involved in gymnastics.

We would love to have a permanent base to teach from and to store our equipment. We’ve been lucky enough to secure a space at Nevile Lovett School but we just need to raise the money to actually build it.

We are desperately trying to raise the money to back it.

It’s always been my dream to provide everyone with the opportunity of gymnastics. It can bring the community together and it’s such a good thing for children to get involved with.

We are always looking for sponsorship and ways to raise funds. This year we have had people run in the Great South Run, held a music gig and run a family quiz night. I’d love to hear of other ways that people can help us accomplish the dream of having our own base. Somewhere we can call home.
