POLICE have today released the name of a woman who was found on the A3 by a motorist.

Louise Malins, of Horndean, 48, was discovered by a motorist on the northbound carriageway near Clanfield, Waterlooville, at 3.15am on Friday.

Hampshire Constabulary said it is investigating the circumstances of Mrs Malins’ death, which is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman said: ‘We have spoken to a number of motorists travelling on the A3 northbound in the early hours of Friday morning.

‘Officers are keen to speak to anyone else who may have been travelling this route between 2.30am and 3.30am on Friday, May 23, and believes they saw or hit something in the carriageway.’
