A NEW chairman has been appointed at Wessex Children’s Hospice Trust.

David Holmes has taken the helm at Naomi House and Jacksplace hospices for children with life-limiting illnesses near Sutton Scotney.

His appointment follows the resignation of Professor Khalid Aziz after 16 years as chairman.

Mr Holmes is also chief executive of children’s charity Family Action - a post he will retain while giving his time on a voluntary basis to Naomi House as chairman of the board of trustees.
