CROCHET, jewellery making, knitting and dressmaking are included in a new programme of adult education courses.

Portsmouth Academy for Girls in Southsea has announced its autumn evening courses to give people the chance to try their hand at a new hobby.

Classes including Sketching for All, Crochet for Beginners and Tarot for Today start on Tuesday, November 10.

A Jewellery Making for Beginners, Knitting for Beginners and A Closer Look at Astrology start on Wednesday, November 11.

A Christmas Sewing class starts on Tuesday, December 1.

There will also be a Basic Dressmaking course, but the start date is yet to be confirmed.

Each class lasts for one hour and start at either 6.30pm, 7pm or 8.30pm.

Courses last either three or five weeks and cost from £22.50 to £40.
