WOMEN in a newly-formed group have raised £1,400 for a hospital.

The Alverstoke branch of the Women’s Institute was set up last year and has been fundraising.

It will hand over the cheque to the League of Friends for Gosport War Memorial Hospital next month.

The league supports the hospital in Bury Road, Gosport, and buys equipment for it.
