DONATING to charity means one lucky winner will be borrowing a motor to envy.

Charlotte Bond, 39, from Petersfield, donated to the Tom Prince Cancer Trust as a part of the News-backed Blue Day, in a competition which had the prize of the use of a top-of-the-range Porsche.

She said: ‘I donated because it was a good cause and never expected to win.’

The car was put up by Porsche in Portsmouth earlier this month after Tom’s dad Clinton asked for a contribution.

He said: ‘I couldn’t quite believe it when the showroom told me that we could have a Porsche for a day.

‘I thought I might get a mug or a T-shirt but not a Porsche!’

Charlotte is looking to take the car out in the summer so that she can make the most of the soft-top.

‘I might drive it round Petersfield a beep at people who I know,’ said Charlotte.
