THERE’S nothing British people love better than the smell of frying bacon and sizzling sausages.
Now we want you to tell us which cafe gets it right and why it should be named the best.
It could be the delicious, crispy bacon or the perfect fried egg with runny yolk.
Or maybe it’s the quality of the pork sausages that come from recognised local farms and the way they sizzle on the frying pan.
Maybe you love the friendly staff who welcome you at any time and provide you with that winning pancake breakfast or filling cheese and ham toastie for lunch.
The extras on the menu – like the thick milkshakes, the hot desserts, the jacket potato or the omelette – could also be superb.
To enter, just fill out the form in The News and send it back to us.
Cafes with 10 nominations or more will go through to a final shortlist, which will be published later this year.
A winner will then be announced and presented with a trophy by Mark Waldron, editor of The News.
Mr Waldron said: ‘Everyone has their favourite cafe where they like to recommend others to go, and we’d love to hear suggestions from around this area.
‘Whether it’s the full English breakfasts, the chips, the service or the location – if you’re a fan of fry-ups on a Sunday morning, for example – then get in touch.’
Entries need to be submitted by midnight on Wednesday, September 11.
Nominated cafes have to have a seated area for diners.
They must be open during breakfast and lunchtime.
