AH, summer days.

Lazy spells soaking up the sun’s rays are a highlight for many, but what to do when you’re stationed on an aircraft carrier?

She may have left the Royal Navy’s service just last week, but this enterprising sailor found there’s still at least one good use for Illustrious.

He found the perfect place to enjoy the warm weather on the flight deck ramp the famous former flagship.

The steep slope was once used by Harrier fighter jets as a means of getting airborne from the ship’s deck.

And the Met expects the fine weather to continue with temperatures hovering around 20 degrees into the weekend, which will feature Bestival on the Isle of Wight.
