A NEW minibus service is to take older people shopping from next month.

Gosport Older Persons Forum has secured a grant to take people to Hedge End.

The group said it had been contacted by those without transport, and said travelling to the Marks and Spencer store at Hedge End is difficult.

The service costs £5 and runs on September 11, October 9, November 6 and December 4.

There are four pick-up points in Gosport and Lee-on-the-Solent – Bury House, in Bury Road, Gosport at 9am, HEDCA, in Elson at 9.15am and Nobes Hall in Bridgemary at 9.30am, and there is a pick-up at Marine Parade West opposite the Bluebird Cafe in Lee-on-the-Solent at 9.45am.
