WE’VE been flooded with One Summer’s Day entries – and this cheerful picture of Kaylee Watson showing her support for Team GB is one of the best yet.
Kaylee’s mum Katy Watson captured the moment in their garden in Brenchley Close, Portchester, on Saturday.
Katy, 36, bought her daughter a Union Flag and a plastic gold medal that morning because she loves the Olympics.
‘Kaylee is only four but she has been really into it,’ Katy said.
‘So I bought her a flag and a medal to make her feel that she had won one.’
We’re urging people to send us pictures of the things they got up to on Saturday.
As long as your snap sums up a summer’s day then it will be considered for our competition.
‘I’m not really much of a photographer,’ Katy said.
‘I entered because I would love to see Kaylee win. It would mean a lot to her.’
If your picture is the winning one you will win a fantastic £400 three-night weekend break for up to eight people at Selsey-based Bunn Leisure – Tourism South East’s Holiday Park of the Year. There’s also a runner-up prize of a four-night midweek break for up to six people, also worth £400.
To be within a chance of winning you need to send us a picture that was taken on Saturday to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can post prints to us at: One Summer’s Day, Picture Desk, The News, News Centre, Hilsea, Portsmouth PO2 9SX.
Include your full name, address and daytime contact number, plus a description of what and who is in the picture. The closing date is midnight on Monday, August 13. If you’re not the lucky winner, you can still call Bunn Leisure and quote ‘One Summer’s Day’ to receive £50 off a week’s break in a six-berth bronze caravan in August.
