BULBS planted to mark the Olympics are blooming all across Fareham.

In November last year the borough council worked with Fareham in Bloom volunteers and local sporting groups to plant bulbs at four playing fields to celebrate the London Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The four sites that were chosen were Seafield Park Recreation Ground in Hill Head, Allotment Road Recreation Ground in Sarisbury, Bath Lane Recreation Ground in Fareham and Wicor Recreation Ground in Portchester.

Councillor for community Connie Hockley said: ‘Visitors to the sites will be able to enjoy the colourful Olympic Rings for many years.’
