A delightful day of frolics on the beach

Have your say

Hello there friends. I hope you’ve all been enjoying the glorious sunshine we’ve been having – I certainly have.

The other day, my master took me down to the beach for a picnic. We went with a few dogs from down the road and their masters too.

We sat under a giant beach umbrella so that we didn’t get too hot, and snacked on all kinds of delicious human food. My master lets me eat human food only on special occasions. I enjoyed cocktail sausages, crisps, sausage rolls and chicken – it’s making my mouth water just thinking about it.

The other dogs and I had a whale of a time splashing about in the sea, doggy paddling and fetching frisbees thrown by our masters. I’ll tell you what pals, there’s nothing better than a good game of fetch in the sea on a nice summer’s day.

I did stop in my tracks at one point though when I nearly ran straight into a great big old jellyfish. They often pop up on the beach at this time of the year, but you have to be careful. Although they look cool, they can give you a bit of a nasty sting if you touch them. I wonder if any of you Chipsters have ever seen a jellyfish in real life?

I hope the sun stays out so we can go back down to the beach. Hopefully I’ll be treated to a whole summer’s worth of human food. Anyway, must dash. I’ve left you with a picture of a jellyfish like the one I saw the other day for you to colour and send to me.

Chip chip for now
