A no make-up selfie of me wouldn’t look that different

STEVE CANAVAN: Take note of why I love this country so much

Have your say

I expect many of you will have heard about the fundraising scheme where women take a selfie with no make-up on, make a donation to Cancer Research UK and then upload said photograph to the internet, also nominating other women to do the same.

So far I’ve not been nominated, but maybe that’s because I so rarely wear any more than eye-liner and a smidge of mascara anyway.

A make-up free selfie of me wouldn’t look that much different. But many women would normally be putting on make-up for a selfie, instead of the reverse.

Whether made up or not, #nomakeupselfies is all for a good cause. And it should remind all women to be checking their breasts and men to be checking their testicles.
