A return visit to tranquil spot is definitely on the cards

Children adore being spoilt by their grandparents, but is it too much?

Have your say

I’ve recently discovered a delightful place of tranquillity – the Garage Lounge in Southsea’s Albert Road.

I spent a sunny morning there recently having a latte and a scrummy flapjack, surrounded by spring flowers and beautiful antique furniture.

The owners have done wonders and totally transformed what was an old garage into a beautiful cafe.

It’s the perfect retreat to soak up the atmosphere of a bygone era, with its vintage chaise longues and plush sofas. Even the two chocolate Labradors snoozing outside amongst the daffodills looked relaxed.

As I watched the world go by with two senior ladies who were raving about the place, I could feel a return visit was imminent.
