After bikes and sheds, there’s nothing else worth watching

Children adore being spoilt by their grandparents, but is it too much?

So Le Tour is over for another year and now I have to somehow shift back into a pattern of watching something else of an evening.

I love it when the cycling’s on and I have an hour of sports catch-up every night before bed, secure in the knowledge that I’ll be hearing about tactics, seeing great thighs and having a right laugh at spectators perched precariously and/or dressed hilariously.

Luckily for me Shed Of The Year will entertain me for a week or two (but sadly with no handsome bods to ogle). But then what?

With all the channels that we have these days, I still can’t understand why the programmes that are on them are so blooming dire.

Have I matured, or has television lost itself?
