Have your say

I t was great see so many youngsters in the side at the final whistle on Saturday.

Starter Jed Wallace was joined by Ashley Harris and Adam Webster in the second half, while we also had Dan Butler and young Nick Awford on the bench.

That bodes well for the future, but I know for a fact there were scouts down from Ipswich having a look at Wallace, who reminds me a bit of Stoke’s Jon Walters.

He, of course, was at Ipswich before moving to the Britannia Stadium. So it was no surprise to see someone from Portman Road at Fratton.

Ipswich always seem to take a fancy to Pompey’s players and it looks like Wallace may be a player who would fit into Mick McCarthy’s way of playing.

He’s unhappy with the players he inherited there and is desperate to make his own mark on the side.
