If you’re looking for a novel gift for a child, look no further than Johnny and the Raindrops, another Glastonbudget find.
These guys are not a tribute, but what they do is play rock ’n’ roll for kids, mixing anarchic lyrics about carrots and peas with thumpingly good tunes.
My kids, ranging in age from seven to 11, were immediately hooked into the singalong, as were my husband and I.
Because the music doesn’t pander to the normal twinky-winky beats which are dished out to children, it’s really good fun.
Seriously, get one of their CDs for that child in your life who is difficult to buy for, or for those difficult long car journeys this summer (Johnnyandtheraindrops.co.uk).
You’ll thank me.
