Any ideas which charity my Great South Run should help?

I’m in a bit of a quandary. I’ve had my place for this year’s Great South Run confirmed, so my mind has turned to fundraising.

For the past two years I’ve been proud to raise money for The Rowans Hospice, but I thought this year I would choose a different cause.

But I’m stuck on which to go for. I’ve met the people who run Canine Partners and was moved to tears by the freedom smart dogs can give people previously trapped in their bodies.

But then, locally, there’s Pompey in the Community, which gives children a leg-up through football.

And then there’s Asthma UK, a charity that researches a condition that’s threatened my own life on more than one occasion. Any other ideas? E-mail me on
