Beauty of street art is you never know when it’ll appear

Have your say

How exciting it must be to live in New York and witness the unfolding of street artist Banksy’s new work.

He’s creating a new scene on a daily basis – and people need to be there quickly to view the works as they’re being painted over, or indeed defaced, at speed.

It would be like a pilgrimage, or quest, to catch Banksy in action.

But no doubt a very cool experience indeed.

It seems a shame that New York can’t protect the works, but that’s the nature of street art I suppose.

You never know when it will appear, and where, and when it does it’s fleeting.

As long as it’s not being covered by some overzealous cleaner, I guess its natural evolution via other artists is okay.
