The south coast is an epic place to be when the sun comes out.
I particularly love riding along the coastal paths – especially the tree-lined route across the centre of Southsea Common.
But going the other way? Well, Lee-on-the-Solent still has so much to offer cyclists.
And yet. Yes, here we go again, it’s my yearly moan about the traffic, the pedestrians, the parked cars and the fact that there’s still no provision for cyclists.
We’re supposed to be encouraging ourselves to get up and get active.
But it’s a nightmare for families trying to negotiate everything.
Hardly an incentive to ride, is it?
Come on, give cyclists a pavement at least. It really would make all the difference.
