Young Dan Butler impressed me with his attitude and character at Doncaster.
He made a bad mistake at Leyton Orient during the week with a back pass that cost his team the game.
He knows that and so did everyone else who was at the game.
But I liked the way he responded to that with his performance on Saturday.
He didn’t go hiding, he wanted the ball and he looked like he wanted to make amends and make up for what happened. Good on him.
All players are going to make mistakes. Even the very best players in the world do that from time to time.
But it’s all about how you bounce back and you answer your critics.
He’s only a young man but if he continues to show that same kind of attitude throughout his career, he will go far.
