I wish we had Liz Callis, traffic warden in Gosport and Lee-on-the-Solent, in Southsea where I live.
If Ms Callis can issue 715 parking tickets in a year on her patch, she’d have a field day in Albert Road. It’s ridiculous!
There are always three to four cars parked illegally on double yellow lines on the south side of the road.
Motorists on the north side ( me ) are forced over into the cycle lane by oncoming drivers who are oblivious to the parked cars.
Not that it matters about cars driving in the cycle lane, because I’ve never seen a cyclist riding in it.
Guess where all the pesky pedal people are.
Yes, cycling on the pavement.
So come on Liz, pop over to Pompey, and show our local traffic wardens how to do their job properly.
