I have suffered yet another week-long hangover thanks to Love Amplified. Last Saturday I went along to see the legend that is Carl Craig do an extended set at The Astoria – a great night had all round.
It looks like there’s a lot going on tomorrow night, starting with Chaos Vs Hipshaker from 9pm until 1am at Little Johnny Russell’s. To get everybody in the festival spirit they will be hosting a silent disco, which proved a hit at last year’s Victorious Festival.
The Hipshaker DJs will offer funk, soul, jazz and Motown, while Chaos will hit back with indie and alternative tunes.
Entry will be £5 and you can grab your headphones at the door.
Standard procedure again as Amplified Sessions create more party madness at The Astoria from 9pm until 2am. This weekend they welcome back MK from Hot Creations and Defected – after previous visits to town we still can’t get enough of this guy.
He will be supported by Abbo in the main room with Ash Foster and DJ duo Klink taking over the basement. Tickets are £15 from Resident Advisor.
Followed of course by an after party at The Fleet headlined by Kidnap Kid and supported by Sam Bylett from 2am until 5am.
Tickets are £6 available from Resident Advisor.
Beats & Swing are also hosting a Residents party at The Wedgewood Rooms from 9pm until 2am. Head down before 10pm for free entry or it will be £3 on the door. Don’t miss the likes of DJs Tom Mayhem, The Gentleman Philosipha, Los Swingers Cojones, Caos Doble and Le Fish.
Lastly, on Monday night the Delight team are celebrating St Patrick’s Day in style from 10pm until 2am with a massive headline act. DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit and House of Pain is here, in Portsmouth. DJ Lethal is more at home in sold-out arenas and festivals or selling millions of records, but he will be bringing his fusion of nu-metal, hip hop and EDM to The Astoria.
Entry will only be £5 all night long, don’t miss out.
