I was really glad to hear last week that there will be very strict controls on the Jihadists who go off to Syria and Iraq to fight when they want to come back to the UK.
Of course this is very important for Portsmouth, from where a number of young men have gone off to fight.
Most will never come home, but how can those who went to fight a holy war propagated by an extremism that has identified the western world as an enemy possibly hope to fit into our society ever again?
Do they really think they can stroll nonchalantly down Fawcett Road, do a bit of shopping, have a coffee, chat to a Christian?
It is right that we make this decision, but I’m just sorry they felt they had to go in the first place.
