Have your say

The Eclipse bus route between Gosport and Fareham is one year old on Monday.

Bus usage has risen 20 per cent because of the new link, which to my mind is a real success and a viable alternative to driving to work in Fareham.

It also proves that with a good service and modern, bright buses, people can be persuaded to ditch the car.

In London, many of my friends don’t drive as public transport is so good. With a greater population density than the capital, maybe we should try it.

More express routes like Eclipse are the way forward. Shame that buses finish in Gosport at 11pm though. You should see the queue for taxis at midnight!
