Forget Joey, Ross, Phoebe and co, it’s Coupling for me

Have your say

Ihave spent the most enjoyable week reliving the delights of Coupling, a series from the early 2000s on BBC2.

Wickedly funny, complex and essentially very clever, it knocked the socks of Friends.

And even better, with an English series being, at maximum, eight episodes long (god bless us with our penchant for making stories have a start, middle and an end, rather than ever-lengthening series where nothing happens except time is taken up on the TV screen), I’ve managed to watch all four series in a week.

If you’re looking to while away an hour or two, and can handle fiendishly complex but ultimately rewarding plots, this is the series for you – even if it does repeat the word ‘breasts’ one too many times.
