Don’t you think it’s a bit cheeky what supermarket Morrisons is doing to give dairy farmers a bit more cash for their milk?
They are basically putting the onus on us.
We will have the choice to buy milk at the current low price, or the same product but in a different bottle, for 10p more.
They’ve basically said to us, put your money where your mouth is after consumers said they’d happily pay more for milk.
This insulting strategy will no doubt fail as many who cannot afford to pay more, won’t.
And guess what? Consumers will then get the blame.
In France, dairy farmers would simply strike and hold supermarkets to ransom. Maybe it’s time for some Gallic attitude?
