Children adore being spoilt by their grandparents, but is it too much?

I’m now into my second week of training for my PCV (a bus driver’s licence) and you’ll be pleased to learn I’ve not crashed the coach – yet.

To put any confusion to bed, for me this is about realising a childhood dream.

Many boys at school wanted to be astronauts, footballers or pop stars. But I wanted to be a bus driver.

Getting behind the wheel of a 12-tonner is just the coolest thing. I look at First Bus as a Jimmy Savile figure and what the company has done is to fix it for me to drive a bus.

It’s going okay so far. But two weeks on and after repairing the coach following a little brush with some barriers on a roundabout, engineers have offered to lend me glasses!
