How long do you wait before going to look for somebody?

Have your say

My heart goes out to the woman who went for a wee in the middle of the night on a campsite in Wales, fell off a cliff and had to be airlifted to hospital.

Apparently her friends raised the alarm after an hour when she’d not returned to her tent.

Thing is, how long would you wait to realise that someone wasn’t coming back from the loo and go to look for them?

It’s a tricky one, isn’t it, when you’re wrapped up cosy in your sleeping bag.

In such situations I normally check on my children’s whereabouts after 10 minutes, carrying extra supplies of paper as that’s what, inevitably, is keeping them from reappearing.

But for a friend? It could cause all sorts of embarrassment for both parties.
