My heart has gone out to the families of the four men who were crewing the yacht Cheeki Rafiki when it started taking on water.
I can only imagine the hell they must be going through, hoping for the best but fearing the worst.
It’s often the not knowing what’s happened that can be the real shatterer of hearts – that little thing that holds people back from beginning the grieving process.
Of course, everyone hopes a miracle happens and the four men will be found, exhausted but alive, in a life raft.
A big thank you should be given to the US Coastguard for resuming the search, though it shouldn’t have been called off in the first place.
Now all that can be done has been done, the only thing left is to pray and hope.
