I didn’t really know what to think after I heard about Gwyneth Paltrow’s Groupon deal.
Yes, you heard me, Groupon. Within 24 hours her ‘meet and greet’ deal for a private cooking class in New York, which cost fans $2,000 each, sold out.
It was clearly a stunt to promote her new cook book – fans were offered the chance to hang out with Gwynnie in the Big Apple and the deal included return airfares from anywhere in the US or Canada, airport transfers, two nights at a Hilton Hotel, spa treatments and dinner at an upmarket French restaurant in NY.
To be fair, not a bad deal. But I could think of better ways to splash my cash then learn how to make couscous interesting.
No offence Gwynnie!
