Ever been outsmarted by an eight-year-old?
My daughter Molly and I enjoy sitting down and talking through her homework.
She especially revels in tasks when she sees that glazed look in my eyes, knowing I’ve been outfoxed.
She’s still at that tender age where she thinks I’m relatively intelligent…although that’s evaporating daily.
‘Dad, can you help me with my acrostic?’
So I Googled acrostic whilst she was out of the room.
It’s actually a poem or other form of writing in which the first letter, syllable or word of each line, paragraph or other recurring feature in the text spells out a word or a message.
