I have to plug into a socket for most of the day - so 1978

WARREN HAYDEN: Oh, we do love to be beside the seaside

Have your say

The mobile phone has become a necessity.

From the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep, the glassy little delight is never more than a thumb’s length away.

With the swipe of a finger you can connect, share, watch, listen, laugh and engage.

I’ve just been awarded a free upgrade i.e. been suckered into a new deal with a provider that I wasn’t very happy with, but was too lazy to shop around.

The new accessory has more processing power than the space shuttle, but that means the battery is consumed voraciously.

So I’ve ended up with a phone that I have to plug into a socket for most of the day or it won’t work…very 1978.
