I’ll be wearing a bobble hat, or a wide brim if it’s warm

Yesterday marked the beginning of Brain Tumour Awareness Month in the UK.

There are a lot of these kinds of awareness days/weeks/months, but seeing as the Brain Tumour Research charity does its work at the University of Portsmouth, it’s a good one to support.

The charity was set up because there was precious little research being carried out into the type of cancer that affects the brain.

The month-long campaign ends with Wear A Hat Day on March 27, when children and adults in businesses are encouraged to donate money and wear a hat for the day.

I’ll be doing it, though my choice of bobble hat or wide-brimmed hat is weather-dependent.

Who knows, I may even wear a fez!
