I'm happy to make my big sis the centre of attention

Wow, what a week it's been.Isn't it funny how one week can go by and nothing really changes and the next it can be one of those manic weeks where everything happen?

It’s only when you pause to stop do you realise just how much has taken place within seven days.

So last Saturday we witnessed our best friend Russell get married to his new wife, Tory.

It was such a special day and they did a great job of making their wedding day perfectly suited to them.

It was Harry Potter themed and it really was something special. They even had an owl to deliver the rings!

But unfortunately the poor little mite got a little camera-shy and refused to swoop down and deliver them.

Instead it opted to hop from its handler’s arm on to one of the ushers, but it was funny and it’s those little moments that the happy couple will remember.

My husband Matt did his best man’s speech, which I can now reveal consisted of him donning a chicken head mask and playing his words via a sound system – the relevance of the chicken head being that he was too much of a chicken to do the speech live.

To be fair, he didn’t even do that at our own wedding!

It was funny though and he peppered the speech with lines from Russell’s favourite movies, which no-one else really got except us.

But he loved it and that was the main thing.

Now I’m here in sunny Bulgaria on a girls’ holiday for my sister’s 40th birthday – as I said, a lot can happen in a week.

It’s beautiful here and a roasting 90 degrees! That’s my kind of heat and our hotel is a stunning five-star.

It really is just what we all needed and although my sister doesn’t officially turn the big 40 until July 20, it’s nice to see the attention on her for a change.

She’s a mum-of-three, so it’s the kids who are usually in the limelight.

I’m really pleased we’re here to celebrate with her and, between you and me, I think she’s loving it!

I hope life in Pompey is treating you all well, so until next week…adios amigos.

MAYBE CHERYL SHOULD WAIT A BIT TO SEE IF LIAM’S A KEEPER

So Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is reportedly dating One Direction’s Liam Payne.

Yes, I know that you know this, as it isn’t exactly fresh news.

But did you know the pair are now apparently planning on starting a family?

No, neither did I. Bit of a surprise, that one.

Now there’s nothing wrong with wanting babies – not everyone like me needs to wait almost two decades before considering starting a family.

But, let’s face it, Cheryl’s track record with men isn’t great, is it?

I wonder whether our Cheryl should just hold fire for a bit and see whether this one will be a keeper before getting wed again, changing her name and having a baby?

Just a thought…

WHEREVER TAYLOR SWIFT GOES, HYPE IS CERTAIN TO FOLLOW

I read that Taylor Swift has apparently taken a shine to actor Tom Hiddleston, who may become the next James Bond.

Or maybe not now. Fair play to Taylor – at the end of the day she’s a young gal, free and single after splitting from her boyfriend, DJ Calvin Harris.

But wherever Taylor goes, scandal and hype follow.

Have you seen the video of her and Tom together dancing at a party?

They seem to be having a great time and there’s no harm in that. But since they were filmed together, the world has gone crazy, with speculation that it was all one big PR stunt.

Can’t two people have a boogie together? I think they’d make a cute couple.

I just hope Tom doesn’t see this as long-term...
