Keeping yourself fit and fabulous can be difficult in today’s fast-paced world.

Often we don’t start to take care of ourselves until something goes wrong. So an invitation to go and try out the equipment at Fareham Leisure Centre seemed an excellent opportunity.

I hadn’t checked out a gym for some considerable time and am keen to get back into some form of fitness.

So there I was, donned in a mish-mash of orange Lycra and ’80s legwarmers as I strolled through the park en route to the gym.

I’d only reached the sign-up desk when a whiff of something unpleasant hit me.

Glancing down at my feet, I realised that I’d stepped in some doggy doo.

Cue red face and a swift exit!
